Transfer - unsold - paintings
On the first of July 2011 ArtKids transfered all unsold paintings to Art4Lease.nl
It is not yet crystal clear what Art4Lease intends to do with the paintings.
Perhaps the company name reveals a bit.
ArtKids usually painted without the obligation for a customer to purchase, especially in the many projects;
occasionally ArtKids even made more pictures in order to give customers a choice.
So we - ArtKids - made over the many years many children and their families happy
when they bought the painting;
in fewer cases the painting stayed with us.
In 2008 we invited many relations whose painting stayed at our place to visit
two Art(kids)shows at Café Brasserie 'de Faam" in Hoogland (near Amersfoort).
Especially for the (foster) parents and people with whom we collaborated in many projects,
we offered opportunities during a "pleegzorgdag" in Duinrell.
Nonetheless we still have over 250 paintings here.
In 2010 the father of Tamara died (Tamara is one of the partners of ArtKids).
He left us about 650 large paintings, to store in our studio.
There wasn't any space left in the studio.
Tamara lost (that is temporarily) inspiration to paint.
Meanwhile Art4Lease.nl willing to save and store the paintings, and will probably share part of the profit with us.
ArtKids is fairly happy to get more space in the studio.
ArtKids will remain open (eager :-) to new initiatives, projects and tasks.
To ArtKids the connection to the children and their parents is important.
we usually see the children stand a few Inches taller, and the parents use to react surprised to find out they have some artist in the family.
ArtKids is about making space for feelings, creativity and talent-development.
Art is merely a by-product, and we are happy Art4Lease.nl will take care of that part.

The paintings on this ArtKids-Website which were "for sale and for rent",
are those still for sale or for rent?
Maybe, but not directly via ArtKids,
but through Art4Lease (artkids@art4lease.nl).
(ArtKids the website will be adapted slowly, since it's a lot of work for us.)

ArtKids did some actions.
we finished a project with a playing garden "De Kievit, Nuenen: 50 years", we got about 600 drawings by children, and we're painting those to 50 handmade oil-paintings. Quite a job.
The gallery
In the pipeline are (perhaps) some projects with some charity organizations in Canada, Austria, Holland and India.
On the long termwe are investigating possibilities for some bigger projects.
The ArtKids workshops for children are well known.
For "grown-ups" ArtKids presents workshops "looking as a child watches".
ArtKids was present during the Bazar International,in Luxexpo in Luxemburg end of november.
